This document outlines the types of information we receive and collect when you use the Hot Popcorn application as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard data. Data we collect

  • Log Information - Hot Popcorn’s servers automatically log information when you use our application, including the device’s ID, IP address, search text, zip code/city used to find movie show times, and the date and time of your request.
  • Information you provide - When you purchase tickets we request credit card information and optionally, your MovieTickets.com password.

Uses

  • We may use collected data to provide the services you’ve requested, including services that display customized content and advertising.
  • We may also use collected data for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve Hot Popcorn technologies and services.
  • We may share aggregated non-personal collected data with third parties outside of Hot Popcorn.
  • When we use third parties to assist us in processing collected data, we require that they comply with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
  • We may also share information with third parties in limited circumstances, including when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services.
  • We securely transmit your credit card data and/or your MovieTickets.com password to MovieTickets.com’s servers. We don’t store or log this information on Hot Popcorn’s servers.
